Do Dogs Think Humans Are Cute?

Do dogs think humans are cute?

My mom loves me. She says all humans love their dogs. They want all things best for their dogs: they provide us with the best kibble, the best healthy tasty treats, the best dog chews, and they let us tagalong to work (where we fly across the world). They love us more than anything in the world.

All of our dog owners-parents agree that we dogs are the cutest pets they could ever ask for. But they’re not sure of what we think of them?… they wonder if they mean the world to us, just as we mean the world to them. Do we love them the same? Do we think that our owners or people are the cutest things in the world just like they think we are the cutest things on earth.

I believe many of our owners are often found grappling with this million dollar question: do dogs think humans are cute?

Well, I can only speak for me, but I can tell you only what I think about humans that I interact with. Before we move any further I want to let you know that I LOVE my mom to the moon and back. I do so because she gives me lots of reasons to love her.

Reasons?

Well she loves me unconditionally (at least that’s what I think and feel every day). She includes me in almost everything she does from the moment she wakes up on our first run for the day until the moment she goes to sleep when I snuggle under the covers right next to her. She buys me toys and treats and anything I want… And if I destroy it, she gets me a new one . I get included on all of our flights in which I get to play with all of our passengers and wander up into the cockpit often to make sure she and the copilot are doing just fine. That’s my job on our airplane to keep everybody happy and entertained.

So in going further…. if I if I think you’re cute, you will know it, and if I think you are not cute, you will get cues on our very first interaction.

From my personal experiences and those of my other canine pals, I can say dogs think MOST humans are cute, but not all of them.  I tend to think,  I judge cute humans more on an emotional way. When they make me feel included and they smile, I feel more comfortable growing up wagging my tail and being next to them. The humans I don’t find so cute are the ones that seem like they have hostility or a darkness that bothers me and I don’t find it cute… At all!

It is simple, you don’t find all of your two legged friends cute:  we, the dogs, also don’t find all humans cute. And don’t be mistaken, It’s not about your appearances or “pretty faces”. We don’t discriminate basically on outer cuteness necessarily, we act on the vibe or energy we get from the humans and inner emotional center. I can sense in a second the person in that crowd that’s gonna play with me and be happy and run around. I can also send the cool fool who thinks he’s too cool to play.

Sometimes it’s the most fun and intriguing to find the person on the airplane who I’m going to have to get to know a little bit better and be a little sweeter and calmer and wag my tail a lot … give them lots of kisses and soothe them in to relaxing.

So basically, if you are up to being open to let me in and dazzle you… let me show you how cute, adorable and affectionate I can be- I will definitely think you are CUTE right away. If you don’t give me a chance, I still won’t give up … chances are a few minutes later you will play with me and then I will think you’re CUTE.

We Parson Russell Terriers are known to be persistent and never never give up. We tend to think most humans can be made to turn in to CUTE after a few minutes with us.
