Jackson Montgomery- Go Crazy

The very second I spot them, I snap. It’s like a big explosion. I start running to chase after them and then YANK… I’m at the end of my leash and don’t know why it is, but I go crazy when I see skateboarders, rollerskaters, and Fed-Ex trucks. they are all TRIGGERS to me. I simply just lose it… My mom and I go on a lot of walks everyday and a run early in the morning. The early morning run, I find I’m much better behaved. Probably because it’s so early in the morning that none of those things are up early enough to send those triggers.

I bark and bark at the top of my lungs like a rabid lunatic. I don’t know if I want to chase them, play with them, or get them  !

I see my mom’s mouth moving, I can’t hear her though because I’m barking way too loud… Jumping up and down practically choking myself because I’ve been pulling on the leash so hard to trying to run after them. When I do finally heal and get myself composed to hear what she is telling me… it’s usually the same thing. “Hey, stop it ! Stop it, stop it! When I finally sit down and shut up, she then says “thank you”.

You’d think at one point or another I’d learn to not get triggered by all of these crazy things that speed by us. I see them all the time and I still all the time “snap”. My mom has tried several different ways and schools of thought and training to get me under control… but it has just not worked.

Also, sorry but it’s not just Fed-Ex trucks. It can be UPS, Amazon, delivery trucks or even the Mailman. All those guys aren’t up at 5:00am when we go on our run. I’m sure that’s why we do our run then. I’m much easier to deal with, wat less crazy.

We’ve had trainers, training classes, boot camps, and videos…. I still go crazy. Oops…

I may never know what I would do if I ever caught up to those guys, luckily my mom has never let go of the leash.
