Can You Take Your Dog To The Beach In Orange County?

There are very few beaches in California that allow you to bring your dog durectly on the beach. But Aliso Beach in Laguna welcomes dogs. I am a Parson Russell Terrier and we do love to explore, that’s why it’s not surprising why I love exploring on the coastlines. My mom calls me a beach pup because I am always so excited to go and run around at the beach. I love leaving paw prints in the sand and diving into the water, watching surfers, following the birds, and bumping into lovely strangers we converse with.

My mom is the best mom in the world and because she knows I love going to the beach, she is always researching what beaches in the areas we live in or travel to – that allow dogs. It’s not uncommon for beaches not to allow dogs. Unfortunately it’s far more common for a dog not to be allowed on the beach, especially at peak hours. This is exactly why my mom spends a lot of time digging deep searching for each and every place we go to to find a beach that is happy to see dog loving people enjoying the surroundings.

My mom‘s friend Kellie told us when we first moved into Orange County that she knew of a beautiful little beach that welcomed dogs. Not only is it a beautiful beach, but it has a darling little café  called -The Lost Pier Cafe- that my mom and her friends can grab a great a blackened Ahi tuna sandwich or a cup of coffee/ Latte while we’re down there. They also have a great salsa that my mom buys in a big container and takes home….it’s so yummy. This beach has a very cool atmosphere making it a very relaxing setting for owners and their dogs to come and enjoy watching the surfers having a bite to eat or just taking beautiful walks and taking-in a beautiful sunrise or sunset. The actual coastline in this area is outstanding, having many areas that are just beach and water or areas with beautiful rocks to climb on and take great pictures of. Aliso Beach welcomes us pup with open arms to explore their beautiful shores. It’s not widely known to be dog friendly… I’ve learned it’s a nice little secret. I will however spread the word quietly that Aliso Beach is a paradise for humans and their pups. So, if you are a beach pop and are unable to find a picturesque and dog friendly beach, check this one.
