Can Dogs See Ghosts?

Boo!

Can dogs see ghosts? I’m Jackson and I can see ghosts. My mom says she grew up believing that there might be a monster under the bed or one in the closet. Do you believe in ghosts? Perhaps you do after all over 45% of the people believe that there are ghosts. I know I do. They say some humans can sense spirits, I know I can because I have a superior sense of hearing and smell that can detect negative energy. I am funny and people think I do funny things but I swear I can feel ghosts.

Well really there’s no scientific proof that dogs can sense and see ghosts, but I think I can sense them and believe sometimes I’ve even seen them.

I think it’s easier for dogs to sense ghosts because we have 300 million odor receptors in our noses while humans have only 6 million. I’ve also heard that in my dog brain I have 40 times greater sense for analyzing smells then humans. So I know my brain gives my sense of smell a lot more leverage.

As a Parson Russell Terrier, I have an incredible sense of smell for finding any toys my mom might hide or treats that she’s trying to make me wait to eat for another time. However, I always find them first. Funny as it may seem, I find that every now and then, a human at my moms house will have a strange smells sometimes coming from their rear end… And I can always point out the person it’s coming from.

I also think my hearing makes me feel the ghost even more than my mom. I know that humans struggle to hear a sound if it is above 23, 00 Hertz and I can easily hear noises from 45,000. That’s why sometimes I look around and wonder why my mom isn’t flinching or reacting to something I hear. I kind of look at her like what’s the matter with you?… didn’t you hear that?

I can also sense the tension in a room even if I wasn’t there when it started. When I walk in I can already sense something is wrong and my mom might’ve been annoyed. That’s how it feels when I sense a ghost around.

When my mom and I were in Newport Beach I started barking and barking while we were quietly sitting in a museum. It was a nice museum they let dogs come in. No one could understand why this funny little dog was barking. But I knew I heard and felt something… I know it was a ghost. I am well behaved but sometimes those spirits in the room can really move me and get right into my bones. I’m telling you I think I felt the presence of one of those old dead artists in the room.

Parson Jack Russell‘s were developed originally in the 1800s in the south of England by John Parson Russell an English minister and avid fox hunter. They used us dogs for hunting to search for small prey and have us dive into the holes to go and retrieve it. That is the same intuition that is instilled in me when I sense a ghost is hovering in the room.

Sometimes ghosts seem scary to me and sometimes when I sense the presence of a ghost it seems fun and it seems like it wants to play with me. It’s  fun because they want to run around with me and play much more than my mom does. In addition they fly through the room so it’s fun for me to try and chase them when they go up high. I can jump on the chairs and run across a table, in and out of the rooms, on the bed and then underneath it. I never do seem to catch that ghost.

So I’m wondering if any of my doggie friends have ever seen ghosts themselves? Can you let me know if you’ve ever seen one, or at least felt them around.
